if we are to go by logic and list down the pros and cons, you will not go with someone that is "complicated" and with someone, as other people will put it, with "excess baggage", the cons will be thrice as long as the pros

i believe that it's good that we think carefully, use logic and reason.... and consider everything on things like this, as well as the people that you care for and also people that cares for you, so you know what your getting yourself into

but there are things that i hold on to, things that defy logic

in the end... or at the beginning, if ever, it will not be you and me against the world, it could be you and me against your world... my world will be on our side

a master mason's wages

yesterday, my nephew was practicing how to drive together with a hired person to teach him, they figured into a minor accident when a truck bumped them from the rear

so while discussions are on-going a brother in a pajero, seeing the square and compass in my car, pulled over and offered assistance

it may not seem much but it makes you feel confident and safe knowing that you have brothers always will to help

in the corporate world, you can't say no to a task, even if it's way outside your job description, it will be remembered

are they still in touch with reality?

i work for a company where if you ask for headcount, they will tell you to prepare a business case as justification, compute the exact headcount needed, set up multiple meetings with different people just to get approval, and you finally get that approval after much begging, they will give you exactly what you need

now, wait for a couple of months and you will observe that more work is added, after sometime you will have work of 2 people being done by 1

when you're with office mates you talk about work

when you're with your basketball, airsoft or hobby buddies, you talk about basketball, airsoft or that hobby


i guess because those are the things you have in common, but wouldn't it be nice to talk about the things that you don't have in common?

have you ever had that feeling

of knowing what will be the outcome of something even though things are not going in favor of the outcome you forsee?

2008

last year was a fairly good year


... i got the chance to travel to a country i've never been to before
... my responsibilities at work expanded
... first full year of not being in a relationship
... pursued a hobby (photography)
... pursued another hobby (airsoft)
... first full year being a freemason

"just trying to earn a living"

how often have we heard the reason "i'm just trying to earn a living" from the professional drivers?


these people will stop anywhere and anytime and even wait for passengers not minding if they are delaying other people


is this reasoning acceptable? to me it's not, let me give you some exaggerated example of why


... what does a thief do earn a living?
... what does a hired killer do to make money?
... how about a kidnapper? drug dealer?


i know, i know these are exaggerated but where do we draw the line?

why do they come far in between?

happy moments, why do they come far in between? i guess it's for us to appreciate them, just imagine if you win the lotto jackpot everyday, after 2 weeks you won't even care

War is good

..at least for some people, with this current war in Gaza, some people are very happy, just like the people who sells arms to both sides and the countries that sell oil, oil price jumped! those fucking bastards

Plans for 2009

ok, plans, not resolutions, understood?

.. i will lose weight, target is to be at 65kgs by the end of the first half of the year
.. save more (i'm not telling you how much, but I do have a target per month
..smoke less (life one less stick per day is smoking less right?)
..travel more
..worry less
..relax more
..start exercising

that's it, i'm not going to give myself more things to do
