here's one for Mike Rowe's dirty jobs

ever thought what's it like when you were born in this world to clean someone else's shit? check out the link, the woman in the story (and many else like her) job is to scoop other people's crap. this is because of the caste system in that country and she belongs to the lowest of the lowest
after watching that story in the news, i wondered, when did that caste system started, and who can be that asshole who thought about it, he's probably in power and had a lot of money for him to get away with it, i mean through out the century, countless people have lived and died scooping crap and people don't complain because that's what they were born into and they accepted
the story made me appreciate the "cultural revolutions" wherein people decided to stop and do away with what they have known all their lives because it's not fair
i hope a revolution hits that country

nagba blog ka na pla =)
comment lang po dito--- India's caste system has long been abolished, but it is the people themselves who value this - they say for order etc.
somebody is making a revolution if you notice. actually, many people are making revolutions in every country. that's why we have the United Nations --- and yet, many people just snub off UN. if you only knew what UN is doing to make the world a better place
of course, one can't fight a million who stick to the status quo that easily. not even an international organization as big as the UN (and its specialized agencies) can make immediate/abrupt changes. but still, many people care you know.
i know you have good intentions but i hope you'll see the light in every situation. i notice you addressing current issues - i hope this means that you're also doing your part - and not just ranting =)
or better yet, why not study internation law / foreign service - you'd find it interesting and enlightening. you don't have to join politics, any organizations to serve a purpose. im sure you know it starts with yourself =)
promise.
sorry for being nosy - but as usual, i guess i was born to annoy you with my comments ;p
nagcomment ka na din lang, huwag ka na pa-anonymous. kilala ka naman eh.

*india's caste system maybe abolished, but that's only on paper
*yes someone's making a "passive" revolution, maybe 10 more genrations from now we will see the fruits of their labor
*yes, i know many people care, that's why that news is on CNN
* i don't have good intentions, i was just expressing myself
* i don't address current issues, i write down my thoughts
* you hope I'm doing my part? then you don't know me that well
* maybe i should also study, history, politics, philosophy, the sciences, math etc
* nope, you don't annoy me, it just shows how you miss me
