Or how do you manage a difficult client or anyone higher than you in the corporate jungle? I have two tips;
1) Information Overload. Copy him in emails, forward emails, send him reports, send him updates, ask him questions, answer all his emails
2) Give him things to do. Escalate, escalate, escalate & escalate. Then after escalating, follow up. Get things off your plate and pass it upwards
